COOL SUMMER NIGHTS CONCERT SERIES
The Cool Summer Nights Concert Series offers a variety of concerts from a number of genres. They allow guests to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors and the fun of live music close to the resort at Frontier Park.
See our Events Calendar to find out which bands are playing during Labor Day Weekend. Bring a blanket or camping chairs and pack a picnic. Or enjoy food, wine, and beer from the local food trucks. This is a free event.
ART + FARMERS’ MARKET
Every Sunday from June 12 – September 4, Angel Fire’s high altitude farmer’s market will bring you fresh produce, art, and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy. Sunday morning is the ideal time sip on some locally roasted coffee, check out jewelry from local New Mexican artisans, and stock up for your Labor Day celebrations.
LIVE MUSIC
Sit on a patio and enjoy not only great music with views but also craft beers, fine wines and spirits. A few different venues are offering live music throughout the weekend. Check out our events calendar for all the details.
Family Friendly Activities
MONTE VERDE LAKE
Gather the family and get in touch with nature at Angel Fire Resort’s Monte Verde Lake for some family time on the lake. Rent standup paddle boards, fishing equipment, and paddle boats or bring your kayak or canoe. There are plenty of picnic tables & an easy walking path that wraps around the entire lake.
HORSEBACK RIDING
Angel Fire’s local Nancy Burch’s Roadrunner Tours offers horseback lessons and tours perfect for families. Just a few of the most common packages are listed below.
- Beginner Lessons | Allow you to know your horse and basic maneuvers.
- Newcomer Tours | A one hour ride near the barn, perfect for absolute beginners and families with small children.
- Gold Panning Expedition | One of the most popular summer tours offered as a half-day or full-day horseback rides into the Carson National Forest with gold panning.
- Foothills Tour | An hour and a half ride in the Carson National Forest, ideal for families or riders with not much experience riding.
CHAIRLIFT RIDES
Take in the beautiful views as our chairlift rides take you to the summit of our mountain at 10,677 feet. Either hit one of the hiking trails, play disc golf, or enjoy food and drinks at the Summit Smokehouse. When you are ready to head back, you have the option of either hiking down or riding the chairlift back to the base area. The views on the way down allow you to see the entire valley as well as Wheeler Peak and Eagle Nest Lake State Park.
ZIPLINING
The Angel Fire Resort Zipline Adventure Tours are sure to get your adrenaline pumping and create family memories that will last a lifetime! Between ziplines, you’ll walk along a well-maintained path which allows you to fully enjoy the beauty of the Southern Rocky Mountains. Your kiddos do need to weigh at least 90 lbs to enjoy this one. Space is limited so book your tour in advance. Not much for planning? That’s OK! We also offer a new Adrenaline Rush Single Zip for only $39 and no reservations are required. Stop by the ticket office to purchase your tickets anytime.
ENCHANTED CIRCLE SCENIC BYWAY
Grab the family and jump in the car to follow this 85 mile loop that takes you through New Mexico’s finest mountain scenery as you circle the state’s tallest mountain, Wheeler Peak. Just a short drive from the resort you will find the United State’s first memorial to Vietnam War Veterans sitting on 30 acres of land surrounded by the beautiful Southern Rockies. Continue on to enjoy the quaint towns of Eagle Nest, Red River, Questa, & Taos. They are all an easy drive on the Enchanted Circle Byway.
