Second Annual Angel Fire Regatta

Gather your friends, make your teams, and take to the lake for the Second Annual Monte Verde Lake Regatta on Saturday, September 10th!

The fun will run from 10 AM – 2 PM. Enjoy races for kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, a pedal boat sprint, and an overall race with winners from each category. We will also have a contest for the best-decorated boat!

To register for races, arrive at the Boat House before 10 AM the day of the event. We will happily rent watercraft to participants who do not own one, and there is no charge to participate in the races. Winners of the race events will win Angel Fire Resort gift certificates!

Come hungry because we’ll be grilling burgers and hot dogs for purchase and selling event t-shirts for CASH ONLY:

  • Burger & Soft Drink – $5
  • Hot Dog & Drink – $5
  • Event T-shirt – $10

⚠️ Safety Sunday ⚠️ Ski Patrol Supervisor Austin is here to remind everyone about the 10 points of the Skier Responsibility Code, today with No. 8: You must know how and be able to load, ride and unload lifts safely. If you need assistance, ask the lift attendant. Join us at Legends where we’ll have the Big Game on all screens! We’ll be serving Pizza and Wings all evening and seeing who wins on the grid iron and what wings win at Legends. BBQ vs. Buffalo! We will be doing squares for the Super Bowl party. Prizes include a Michelob Ultra snowboard, giant Coca-Cola bear, Budweiser jackets and more. Purchase pizza and wings to be entered into the square. Looking to grab food and take it back to your place? We’ll have our phones ready at 3 PM (pick up starting at 4 PM). Call us at 575-377-4244! We’re always happy to host such a great group and welcome our local competitors as well as those traveling to compete at Angel Fire Resort. We're sending it into the weekend here at Angel Fire Resort! This weekend looks sunny, with excellent conditions for cruising your favorite trails or hitting our terrain parks, like @nate_steinberg. Looking to watch some competitions? USASA Rail Jam and Slopestyle take place on Saturday and Sunday in Liberation Terrain Park. The Shovel Races were such a success, with so many competitors and onlookers coming to watch, that we've gone ahead and put Shovel Races on the calendar again for next year!
