We also offer lessons using standard ski equipment for those able to stand and move normally, but may have auditory, visual, cognitive, or slight strength impairments. These lessons follow a progression similar to our traditional ski lessons, but allow the instructor a chance to better tailor the lesson goals, techniques, and equipment to the student. Our instructors have a wide array of adaptive devices available that can be used in conjunction with standard equipment in order to enhance the student’s control, safety, and enjoyment. This option may be a good fit for those guests with disorders on the autism spectrum, those with other cognitive or behavioral issues, as well as guests with limited functionality in their extremities who don’t otherwise require special equipment in order to help them be mobile.
